...you might remember
my Karchev the Terrible warcaster model, which I built & painted using some
cinematic effects from
Armorcast:
...well, I'm happy to report that the model won first place in the "Vehicle or Monster" category in
Armorcast's first annual cinematic effects contest! Much thanks to sponsors
Armorcast &
Battlefoam for putting on this contest!
Congratulations! That's awesome news, very well done. Your Karchev model looks fantastic so I'm not surprised to learn that you won the competition. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteHuzzah! Funny category too since he is both vehicle *and* monster!
ReplyDeleteTotally deserved! Looks great. Well done :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats! aweasome to know you won the contest! congratulations! deserved win btw! ;D
ReplyDeletecheers!
Congratulations and totally deserved as The Smoking Karchev is your best achievement, imho. Hard work and dedication pay.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! It's funny, Steve at Armorcast commented that what pushed the "Best of Show" winner (Todd Farnholtz's beautiful ‘FireAnt FLEA’ model) was the OSL effects - I had originally planned to do OSL on Karchev, but I was rushing to get done by the deadline - later they extended the deadline by a month, but I had such a bear of a time working on the model that I couldn't bring myself to go back and re-work it again.
ReplyDeleteMik: I actually left the choice of what category to enter the model in up to Steve at Armorcast - I was pleased it was the "Monster / Vehicle" category, since the winner of that category got two prizes instead of one. :-)
Congratulations! That is an awesome model.
